How to submit work for consideration by a curator:
MASS MoCA’s Curatorial Department welcomes submissions from artists. While all materials are reviewed, a response can take several months due to the volume of submissions and limited staff resources. Please be patient in the meantime and do not call regarding the status of your review. Please follow these criteria to insure the proper consideration and handling of your materials. Include an artist statement and resume/CV.
- Depending on the medium, send up to 20 slides, digital images on a CD, or printed images, or up to 20 minutes of time-based work on DVD or VHS.
- DO NOT send original artwork, we cannot be held responsible for its safe-keeping.
- Please note that MASS MoCA is not a collecting institution, do not send materials in the hopes that the museum will purchase the work.
- If you would like your materials returned you must include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

How to submit work for consideration by the performing arts department:
The performing arts department accepts submissions of work samples on a revolving basis. We will contact you if we feel your project is appropriate for a future performing arts season. Please do not call regarding the status of your materials. Due to the high volume of submissions we receive, we are unable to return materials to you.
